Good mama cloth pattern?

I am looking into making my own mama cloth. I can't afford to buy them piecemeal, so I might as well make them, lol. Anyone have any good ones that work well?

Also, I have pretty heavy periods. I go through at least 6 sposie pads a day from day 2 to day 5 (I am lucky & got 7 day periods).lol Should I make more or less cloth pads than I use in disposables? Also, are mama cloths good for heavy flows? Should the backing be PUL or would felted wool work too?

Ok, I am pretty clueless, as you can tell, lol. Please help me!
