i had friends that lived near cloverdale so i used to spend time in the area but always at their house and never in the town or surrounding area's is it crunchy at all? would a crunchy tree hugging mama feel isolated and alone there or would i love it? does anyone know if there are many homeschoolers around better yet unschoolers?

i know i keep posting these odd threads asking about areas. we are searching for a new place to live and just don't know many areas outside the bay area but we want to live someplace less crowded but also affordable.

I lived in Cloverdale for many years. I left about 7 years ago. No. Cloverdale is NOT crunchy. Cloverdale is a small town, everyone knows everybody's business and knows about what you have done before you have even done it.
I moved for that very reason.
My parents still live there and from what I hear, it hasn't changed. There are a lot of "old timers" there, families that have been around for years. If you are in that "group" you are golden.

I can say that there are homeschoolers there. Sonoma county in general has a great homeschool community. Cloverdale is very big on their schools, sports, etc. Anywhere you go in Sonoma County you will find a lot of homeschoolers.

Good luck to you!
