Anyone used the Sevylor Electra pool?

I used the standard fishy pool for my first 2 births, it was fine, but a bit on the big side IMO. I had tons more room than I needed, and our water heater is, uh, NOT very good, and it was a pain to keep boiling endless pots of water to get the temperature up (plus I've had relatively quick births with no real early labour). I've always wanted to have a UC, but both times we ended up calling the mw & our friend to come, basically to deal with heating the water for the pool.

So... I would like to find something smaller for this birth. I was looking at the Sevylor Electra/Round pool, the dimensions are the same as the fishy pool but apparently it holds less water - maybe the sides are a lot thicker? Most links say it holds 72 gallons (compared to just over 100 for the fishy pool) but a couple of links I've seen say it holds approx. 100 gallons. Anyone know for sure? Any opinions on it?

Thanks!

now that I have looked at it yep I have seen it used for a birth or 2- it is a good pool- couldn't say much about the water amount though- you are right that the sides are wider....

I just used this three weeks ago , it was wonderful. We got it because of hot water issues as well. I'm not sure exactly how much it holds- but the 'max fill line' is about 3/4 of the way up the sides of the pool, so maybe it's 72 gallons if you fill it up to there and a 100 gallons if you fill it all the way to the top?

We just filled it up to the line and it was fine (granted I am a small person, but I had *much* more room than I needed). The sides werel really nice- I spend most of my time resting my upper body against them with my head resting on my arms, and my lower body kneeling/half floating in the pool.

I've never seen the fishy pool close up, though, so I can't compare.

Thanks Prothyraia! (and congrats on your new baby ) So did it work out well with your hot water tank? (and do you happen to know the capacity of your tank?)

Anyone else have experience with this pool? I'd love to hear from anyone who has used it but especially anyone who has compared it to the fishy pool.

ETA: We do have a slightly larger tank now, it is 143 litres (37.8 gallons). Our old tank that we had for the last 2 waterbirths was about 120 litres and ran out of hot water very very quickly - as in, there were only a few inches of water in the pool. It was very old by that point (we live in a rental and they did not replace it when they were supposed to... hopefully this new one will be better!) We ended up boiling about 2 dozen pots of water I think! And no, the temperature cannot be turned up.
