HELP? DIY Prefolds to FItteds, and in search of FOE

Can anyone tell me, is it easy to make my prefolds into fitteds? Also, What are the chances of finding Fold over Elastic locally??

I don't know where you are, so don't know where "locally" is.

I can tell you I've looked at every fabric store in my area and asked sales associates and they've never heard of FOE. When I explain what it is they say "oh, that's really neat - I wish we had it!".

I have used plush-backed elastic as FOE and it works okay. I does get pilly though, especially if you use hook & loop. I bought it at joanns. Someone also said there was something called stretch binding and they bought it at a walmart I think. I have yet to find it though. My "real" FOE I bought from verybaby.com, it was pretty inexpensive if I remember correctly.
