Bad Dream about Ultrasound

I'm one of those sensitive souls who get's really riled up by dreams (been known to be mad at DH for something he did in dreamland, lol). So my dream this morning really got to me:

FYI: Our ultrasound is tomorrow!!!

I dreamed we were 2-3 hours late for the ultrasound appt. I was freaking out because I was afraid they wouldn't be able to fit me in. We get there and it turns out they're closing in 10 minutes and at first refuse to even talk to my friend (who, for some reason, came along with two of her friends in the dream). So I'm crying and begging them to let me have my ultrasound so I can see my baby and the guy says he'll see if he can get the doctor to squeeze me in. In the meantime my friend and one of her friends are saying mean things about DH and I flip out on one of them and tell her she can just leave if she's going to say things like that. I'm laying on a stretcher waiting to get on an elevator to go get the US and the guy who works there comes out and tells me the doctor already left for the day. I get so upset that I start throwing up all over the floor. I'm desperately crying and trying to figure out how much the commercial US place in Calgary (3 hours away) costs and how late they're open. In the dream they would have cost $200 (which is A LOT for us right now) and we wouldn't be able to get there before they closed. So I'm devastated that I missed my US and didn't get to see my baby. It was really intense and I woke up feeling really upset (even though worse case scenario if I miss my US I just have to wait a few days to reschedule right?).

Turns out...I did miss something in real life...MY DOCTOR'S APPT! I totally thought it was today but when I checked in at the maternity clinic they informed me it was yesterday. Oops. They still fit me in. Though I feel like these appts are a total waste of our time and the Alberta Health Care system's money. You get my pee, my weight, my BP, measure my fundal height, check the baby's heartbeat and ask if I have any questions. Woot. You don't even tell me anything (never did get told how my blood work came back at the first appt. or what all you checked for).

Long story short: MY ULTRASOUND IS IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! :::

Holly your post title really scared me! Maybe change it to Ultrasound Bad Dream or something? I was afraid to click on it. (ok I'm sensitive...but to me an ultrasound nightmare is something different than a bad dream about an ultrasound)

I am sorry you had such an upsetting dream, but I hope your US tomorrow is more like a good dream!

Nothing to be embarrassed about. With how easily we all cry right now it's good to be careful how things are worded!
