*Cat pee in carpet* thread #537.....

We have a big fish tank that the filter leaked some onto the carpet. My hubby tried cleaning it with a Little Green, and after reading here about the issue, I sprayed the area with vinegar.

Well, the damn cat still pee'd on the spot last night.

She thinks it's okay to pee on the fishy smell spot! Am I going to need to take down my 30 gallon tank and move it and professionally clean the area to get the fish smell AND the cat pee out???

Natures Miracle, you have to soak it all the way into the pad, and then it may take a few days to dry (or up to two weeks depending on temp and humidity) but then the smell should be gone. I used natures miracle in my truck carpet after dh went fishing and the ice chest leaked. No smell left!

i am one of the few people who has not been wowed by nature's miracle. i buy a powder that i think is called odo-ban (they have it at petco, it is a white box with either a blue or magenta band). but nothing has ever worked as amazingly as bac-out. in literally just a minute or so, it ended the gag-worthy smell of fermented dog vomit (sorry TMI) out of my car carpet after being parked & molding for a week unnoticed.

maybe

try bac-out. we neither have fish nor cats but bac-out works with everything else in our home, especially frequent pees and bf poop.
