I have a strange penis question

I have noticed that my friend's son's (call him M) penis looks more like a man's (like my intact husband's, for example) penis. And my son's penis still looks like when he was newborn. There is very little skin "hanging" off the front of my son's penis. M has quite a bit of skin there. My boy is 14 months. M is 17 months.

Should I be concerned? We don't see a medical doctor. We only see an ND every so often, and we have not seen the ND for two months.

I warned you it was a strange question!

(Oh, I should hope it's obvious that my son is intact. Forgot to mention that part.)

I don't have a son, but all I can say is everyone is different. I wouldn't be concerned about appearances, especially if your son isn't having any problems otherwise.

ETA: For example, I wouldn't worry that my daughter's labia look different from another girl's. Maybe 'M' plays around a lot and has stretched the skin out.

my 6 yr old son has a lot of skin hanging off end of his, his 2 1/2 yr old brother doesnt.

htey have both always looked like that in porportion to them selves (if that makes sense)

im sure its nothing to worry about

Is your friends son circed? Circed penises look like tiny adult circed penises whereas intact ones change quite a bit.

IME their penis starts to look a bit different when their foreskin becomes retractile. My boys looked very 'newbornish' until their foreskin became mobile and after that there seemed to be a bit more skin hanging over the tip.

I agree with grace.. My sons penis looked the same as when he was a newborn until he became retractable (on his own) at about age 2, then there was more skin hanging off the front and it didn't look as tight.

I didn't realize that it changed appearance as the skin becomes retractile.

My friend's son is intact. I have only seen one circumsized baby penis and I guess because I'm used to my (intact) husband, it did not look like an adult penis to me. It looked like a horrible malformation or mutation. Sorry to be blunt, but it just looked strange.

My ds can retract his foreskin (he is 3.5), and it still looks the same as it ever did.

There is just a lot of variation among individuals. Some people have long foreskins, some are so short they barely cover the glans. Both are normal.

DS's looks tight when the weather is warm, and loose when its cold.
