This is kinda funny. My grandma has 4 kids. We'll call them 1, 2, 3, and 4.
1, 2, and 4 live out ot state. They are not close to her, she's not close to them. Nor is she close to the grandchildren by those 3 children (including me). Child #3 lives LITERALLY in her back yard. She is super close to those grandchildren and over-the-top close to #3 and spouse. She will never admit that...she says everyone is equal but we all know better. It's sort of a family joke.
So she was here visiting and saw me using the SNS and of course wondered about it and asked why I was going to such great lengths to BF.
I spouted off all the typical stuff and she just sort of nodded her head except when I said, "it creates more of a bond between mother and child." She said, "I don't know about that. I'm close to all of my children. I love them all and they love me and I only breastfed #3."
LOL! It was all I could do not laugh out loud. (She's clueless as to the fact that she favors them)
Okay...I maintained composure long enough to ask why she chose to nurse him and not the others and she said that the rest of them were healthy and the doctor said they could be on "milk" but that "3" had health issues and the doctor said she had to nurse him. And this was back 55-60 years ago.
