Cleaning between glass on oven door

Don't ask me how spilled liquid got down between the glass and left a dried-on streak- or how we have a cobweb in there!
Has anyone had this happen? Can I take the door apart without ruining it?
There are little vent holes in the top, which I guess is how the stuff got in there- but obviously the holes are too small to stick anything down there to clean it out.
FWIW I have a Frigidaire gallery series flat-top electric stove.

I have the same problem - mine is a maytag and there is a cobweb in there. It drives me CRAZY! Maybe someone will have an idea.

It will come apart. Look carefully and there should be screws. Just be careful to not lose any bits when taking it apart.

could you vacuum out the cobweb? not much help for spills, but might work for a web...

We have a big drip streak too and I've wondered how in the world it got in there. I have no clue! Maybe I'll try taking it apart sometime.

As disheartening as this sounds, I say "give up and live with it".

We have a GE Profile stove and it's the same crappy design. We have taken it apart to clean it a few times. It's just not worth the hassle of keeping track of all the little screws and things - and most of the stress comes with ensuring we don't break the glass while moving things around. After all that, it's clean for only a few days before something else drips into the vents and slithers down between the two panes of glass.

There's no reason why they can't put sealed units in these ovens. Better made appliances don't seem to have this problem at all. Even old commonplace stoves didn't drip between the two panes of glass. It's just frustrating that you apparently have to go high-end in North America to get some of these basic quality issues looked after.

Mine is also a Frigidaire, and it's the same way. The sun hits it just right & I get all twitchy!!! I hate it. But, I haven't been brave enough to take it apart. I hang a hand towel on the front when guests are over.

I've been doing the same thing! (Handtowel)
I just talked to my aunt that had the same problem with her stove, also a crack in the glass. She had a repair person come out to the house to repair the crack and asked him what she should do to clean between the glass and he said ABSOLUTELY don't take the door apart if the oven is a self-cleaning oven. Apparently it can ruin the seal or something and that would mess up the self-cleaning system. Yikes- glad I asked her!
I guess I'll have to buy some more seasonal/decorative towels to hang on there.

We have the same problem and I too hang a hand towel from the handle!
