To invite your doula to your baby shower?

I really like my doula and we get along well and having her there will be like another opprotunity for us to get to know each other better before the birth.

Do you think she will find it odd that im inviting her?

I'd be absolutely honored to be invited to a shower!

One client of mine had me do her belly casting, that made me feel soooo special! Another I did henna art for, and even little things, like being invited to go shopping with clients, is wonderful!

If she feels uncomfortable, I'm positive that she'll gracefully decline the offer.

Of course it would be appropriate. I think it would be kind of strange not to! I do wish I could come up with a good way to avoid her feeling like she needs to bring a gift, however.... But I can't think of one right now.

It's definitely appropriate to invite her. Now in my case, I've had two different mw's and I didn't invite them to either of my baby showers just b/c I already knew how busy they were and I figured they already got sooo many invites...maybe I was afraid of rejection.

But I do think they are flattered to get the invite.
