acupuncture?

I've never done this before. It can help possibly induce labor, right? I have no idea where to even start to find a place that will do this. Traditional day spas? Chiros? Any help would be appreciated!

From July DDC, as I still haven't gone, but I found an acupuncture place through recommendation of others. I learned that not all do "labor preparedness" treatments, so you might want to ask this before going in for an appt. If you yellow pages doesn't have any listed, I would call a couple chiros and day spas, or stand alone massage places, and see if they know of any. If you have a wide choice - I'd just start calling and ask about number of appt usual for it to work and will they do only labor pressure points or treat more than that. HTH!

I used acupressure which is similar to acupuncture and that worked for me. I learned the technique from Leina Leino's e-book.

Just google it!

Ladies,
If you can't find a local practitioner, don't buy a book. Just google acupressure for labor and you will get the same info. You cannot "do it wrong" - even if you aren't right on the point, as long as you are within the point area you will produce the effect.

I used it to induce labor at 37wks 5 days. Due to pre-e my babe needed to get out quickly. Worked like a charm. I went into labor 4 hrs after my second treatment and I had been having no pre-labor symtoms at all. I went ot an acupunturist my midwife reccomended.
