Thanks to the "Deep Breaths" thread, (which I sent to my pro-circ'ing brother, I couldn't help it).....the door is open again. We're currently talking about circ'ing again. Last week, I was so frustrated with him (they're due in Sept.), he's fine with talking with his co-workers about their sons being circ'ed but doesn't care to listen to me or my sister.....she tried once they found out they were having a boy. Well anyway....we're talking about it...yay! Hope I can MAYBE talk some sense into him.... anyway...thanks for your experience in that thread (I forgot your name). I also sent him a story from a girl I know that had her son circ'ed and he almost bled to death and it had to be fixed by a surgeon...... wish me luck....

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Thanks for the site! Last week when we had talked about it, I asked him if he was going to watch it being done and he said yes! He said my SIL will too. Which I think is great.......I think every parent should watch what they chose to do to their son. I have 2 months still.....I hope I can talk some sense into him......

oh wow, good luck!
also, as a side note to the other mother whose son had the bleeding--
I've only worked there for a couple months, and even in that short amount of time I've seen a baby get sent to the NICU for a blood transfusion.
The baby had the circ done in the morning, had all of his circ checks which were fine, and got discharged home. They got home and the baby went right to sleep. Baby woke up crying inconsolably, and they tried different things to calm him down. Eventually they checked his diaper and saw that it was full of blood. They took him in and by the time he got to us he was in a state of shock and needed a transfusion.
He ended up getting through it thank god, but it made the blood drain from my face when I heard the doc talking about it to a nurse and he said "thank god that baby woke up, he would have bleed to death in his sleep"
Seriously, I thought those kinds of complications were "rare" but good gawd I've only worked there for 2 months and already saw 1 case of it!
In response to that situation (and the other bleeders I guess they've been having a lot of lately), they decided to get "better clamps" ordered in, because after all, it MUST be the clamps that are the problem, and not the fact they are creating intense trauma to the vessel rich tissue of the genitals
