Trouble Shooting the Diva Cup

ok ladies... today is day one.

I put it in last night when i was started spotting and over night was fine until this morning... I started to leak and there was maybe..... a tsp of liquid in the cup... i took it out and washed it and put it back in and it lasted maybe a couple hours and same thing... a tsp in there when i leaked... i took it out and washed it and did it again...... leaked right away did it again...

IM putting it in not as far and trying hard to tilt it down towards the bottom of my spine.... (those were my troubleshooting discoveries.)

after changing those things i went.... about 3 hours or more with very minimal leaking, not quite so bad.. i emptied it and put it back and was again very minimal to no leaking and then i had to shower.. i jumped in and emptied it and reinsert while i was in there and after getting out and stuff i sat down (thank goodness i had a pad on) and i think like... the cup spilled... i dont know that it had opened all they way...

IM pretty sure I WILL get it.. but Id love to hear some of the things that have worked for you...

also... im pretty sure I need to do some Kegels.... lol

If you can twist it around, that should help make sure it is open all the way. Sometimes I'll allow it to pop open before it's totally inserted, just to make sure that it's open fully. It also helps not make it go in to far.

There is a learning cure - it took me a couple of months to really get the 'cup love'.

There is a "dance" someone posted which helps the cup open and form a good seal. After inserting it, wiggle your hips as if twirling a hula hoop. Then do a few high marching steps. Works for me!

I've found that if I keep it lower I leak. I insert mine as far as it will go now and haven't had any further problems. It should easily spin with no resistance at all.

I used to pull mine down low until it 'popped' then insert it quite high. Once I got over how high I had to insert it (and how much of my hand was needed to get it there...) I had fewer problems.
