I just learned that my aunt (my mom's sister) wrote this:

My greatgrandmother, my grandmother and my mother all breastfed, even when it was not fashionable. I love my family

I think I love your family a bit too! My great aunt, my mother's mother's sister was an LLL leader in Winnipeg in the 60's. It's nice to have family support!

An interesting addition to this story is that when my uncle got sick and could not really eat much, my aunt put a request out through LLL for breastmilk donations. Until he could no longer keep it down, he drank all the breastmilk they were given as donations by LLL members. She is, as am I, certain that it prolonged his life significantly.
