Need quick wedding gift ideas

Can anyone suggest a quick knitting project for a wedding gift? I was thinking of a pretty blanket or throw for their home. I barely know the bride - she's ex-DP's niece - but my DS is in the wedding party, so I'm invited. I'm really broke right now and can't afford to spend a lot on the gift, so I thought I could make something. The wedding's in 3 weeks, so it has to be something I can knit up fast.

a nice stack of dishcloths, a few shopping bags (these knit up in a couple hours and take about 1 1/2 -2 balls of sugar and cream yarn), if you make socks you could always do matching socks/slippers for the bride and groom.

a wine cozy if they drink

What about the hemlock ring blanket if you want a throw? It would work up pretty quickly.

Thank you all! I'm planning the Hemlock Ring for myself one of these days but I'm afraid I wouldn't finish in time for the wedding (8/16). I decided to make this Chenille afghan which looks quick, easy and pretty. I was at Michael's Crafts today and they had tons of the Lion brand chenille on the clearance table for $1.99 a skein, and I had a coupon for 25% off my total, so I got everything for under $16

Off to start knitting!

i crochet.. so when i am in a jam like that I usually go for the 5 1/2 hour throw.. maybe there is a knitted version?
