You don't ovulate while you are on the pill. Sorta makes your body think you are already preg. That is why they usually want ppl w/ PCOS to stay on the pill until you want to get preg... and then go back on it as soon as you deliver. Helps control all the PCOS symptoms. PCOS is actually really common unfortunately... girls get put on the pill in their teens before symptoms are really noticeable, they usually don't have a clue they have pcos until they are ready to start a family. SUCKS!!

AFM, I'm beginning to think that the universe has a really twisted sense of humor. I think I finally ovulated for the first time in 6 months and after 3 cycles of Clomid (at 50 mg each time...weird, right?). Our timing was great, but we don't get DH's blood results on his Cystic Fibrosis carrier status for another 9 days. I hate that I'm going to be stessed about this during my first viable 2ww in a year. I didn't think there was anyway that I'd ovulate without increasing my dose of Clomid, so we didn't worry about preventing at all.
