Chicken tractor - help with wheel issues.

Heya Chickee Mamas.

DP built me a tractor this week and the ladies are in it. All three of them. Anyhow, we have a moving problem. We put DD's training wheels on the front, but when they're high enough to let the front edge clear the bumps and such in the yard they're too high for it to be very secure. Low enough for security and I can't get it over the humps in the yard.

I'm hoping to get something worked out so that I can use the wheels when I move it yet lower the tractor when it's where I want it to be. Anyone else dealt with this issue? I have to be able to move it myself to get the ladies where they need to be at different times of the day.

My father built something like this:

He just picks up one side moves it over a space and then picks up the other and moves it. Its heavy but it works.

We use dollies. Ours is a big tractor, so we put a dolly on each side of it and then dh (or ds or dd) do one end while I do the other, one pushing and one pulling. It works. I wish we had a permanent solution, but it's working for now.
