Happy news (new, better OB!)

I've had NSTs every week because of gestational diabetes (yes, really - my sugars were INSANELY high - it's a wonder I didn't pass out daily) since 32w. Now I'm just about 37w and they've upped it up to 2 NSTs + 1 OB checkup. I'm fine with seeing the doc, but I didn't particularly care for the doc I was assigned to. Ahh, military hospitals. Well, it turns out he went on leave, and so I was handed off to another doc. She, in a word, is... awesome. She checked my weight (still -3 from my pre-preg weight), BP (completely normal) and noticed that I'm not swollen in the least. Baby is head down, not quite engaged, all is well with the NSTs.

So she asks me at our first appointment together - which was just 2 days ago: "How do you feel about induction? Do you want to be induced".

I told her absolutely not, that I saw no reason for it and I felt perfectly fine. She agreed and said though my other OB had made a note about "possible induction", she was against the idea and said "She'll come in her own time - you're fine, she's fine, there's NO reason for an induction!".

I wanted to jump up and down and hug her. :

It just seemed like the more I talked about natural labor to ANYONE at this hospital, the more they seemed keen on induction or even a c-section.

I've been a bit crampy here and there lately, and I am 99% sure I lost my mucous plug about a day and a half ago. Nothing else could really explain the giant glob of... well.. mucous... that literally fell out. I guess RRLT, EPO, and lots of "oxytocin" (ahem. LOL) are helping me out .

Oh how lucky for you to have an OB that is supportive!:
