Good thing I knew the rules about how to behave and stay alive. I did not allow my baby brothers to know what was following us and I did not run or move fast. My cowboy uncle in his big hat shot the poor booger.
I will tell my story about being chased by javelinas in the next segment of Cowgirl Savannah, yeehaw!
Yeah, the guy I talked to said that most of the time they just watch people and are curious about them. Thankfully, there has never been a cougar attack in Oregon. So, I'm less worried, since we are still looking for properties, and basically any time you get out in the country, or up in the hills, or close to the hills, there have been sightings of them. They are cats, and get curious.
Someone was saying that a Cougar had hung around the country club near Molalla for about a week, but did nothing. Just people watched.
Not to discount your experience though. I'm sure that if there are slim pickin's it's probably best to be as cautious as possible, ESPECIALLY where children are concerned, since they don't possess the ability to look bigger than a cougar, like an adult with a couple of big sticks might.

New or used? I've seen them fairly frequently at Piccolina.
