August in Albuquerque - Page 2

Friday sounds wonderful, is there a place over there with the addy?

So can someones nipples actually fall off if they are used too much : and some of those evil sleep training books are going to start looking pretty good if I don't get some sleep. This morning I actually forgot we owned a kitchenaid. I was trying to make banana bread and couldn't figure out how to mix it. :yawning: Twice last week I caught dinner on fire.

Yikes emans! N has been nursing like crazy. . 4 mos growth spurt I think? Sorry about your clumsiness in the kitchen! If it makes you feel any better I made bread last night and it came out kinda weird. Not sure what happened. At least I didn't forget about my stand mixer

So. . it's official. . .I handed in my resignation today! I'm both scared and excited. It's hard to leave a cushy, stable job for the unknown. I'm taking classes this fall but should still be able to make it to pg, even if I'm a little late.

Congratulations Crazy!

Eman. Can D take M for a little bit and you get a nice nap in? That always helps!

We're HOME!!!!!

I won't bore you with the dozen or so things that my Dh either didn't do or screwed up but I'll say if I was home for a week alone, the house would not look the way it does now.

Oh yeah, he's going back to Europe in three weeks.

Friday should be fine but I won't be anywhere early. If you need me to drive Elm we have to take your van. I only seat 5 now. I'm not a minivan mom any more.

Is it really necessary to have school supplies on the first day of school? Dontcha think the first week is good enough?

Welcome home! I'm fine taking my van (if Anodyne takes me we'll take it anyways.) Sorry your dh was a dweeb (I thought he was back east with you though.)

Dh is traveling yet again next week. For a job that requires travel he sure does travel a lot!

Yey glad you are home.

Crazy, congrates I was so terrified when I turned mine in. I think I could still recite it word for word I read it over so many times.

So I need to ramble sometime about my new gymnastics/soccer conflict and R.

Eman-Ramble on darling...

Elmh- Dh was with me the first week but he drove the new car home. I've been on my own since last Thursday.

eeeep - i have totally ignored my homework and cleaning to sew the last 2 days.

sunday i made:
a blanket for big c
3 bibs
3 wipes
and i sewed patches onto 3 shirts

yesterday i made:
3 more bibs
put buttons on the buzz lightyear dress and the sailor dress
put a cute little iron on thing to a shirt

i posted the pic link at the other board. now my house is a total wreck

um so yeah mr babyman isnt nursing like crazy all day...

instead he is nursing ALL FREAKIN NIGHT! During the day he is so distractable and wants to look at EVERYTHING.
HE also prefers to pull up my shirt so my entire boob is visable
Which is great as we are in a waiting room and he is moaning, stroking my boob and pulling up my shirt and when people snicker he has to pop off to smile at them whilst i spray him in the ear and there is more laughter.

I think it is the learning thing because the last few nights he has woken up to sing/yell/roll/hit me/pinch me with his toes etc.

Before I head to Goodwill, is anyone intrested in:
A bathroom scale
An electric indoor grill
A crockpot with two chambers
everything works and is fine just stuff we've replaced.

So ASF are you going to bail tomorrow night in favor of housework
post #31 of 291
as if! i was just getting some of the boring stuff out of the way so i would be able to sew the fun dress

I think i might know someone who wants to 2 sided crockpot -will ya keep it for me
post #32 of 291
Been chickening out on this for days.. How do i get involved in MNO..
Emans, hubby would like the scale.

I put directions in the other place. Please bring towels and floaties! By next summer we want to have dozens of each but our house money is being eaten up by other things this summer (including getting the pool up and running).
Great.

We have a small collection of floaty stuff started I figure by the time I have everything there will be no little kids swimming anymore.

Eman, could you bring some of your extra floaties? We don't have any and I can't afford to go get any right now.
I'll do my best, but since I forget to bring snacks to your place who knows : They were even cut up prepared and your house safe.

So E's teacher is in fact She seems really nice I agree with her teaching style and attitude, but since she's a 1-2 it means he'll only have her for one year and she'll be gone part of it.

Thanks Eman!

So I just realized that my trash can is not in my backyard. Trash day was yesterday and we were hit with a wicked storm (my street and backyard were completely flooded.) Um, I think my trash can is somewhere down stream! Whoops!
Did I tell you guys I'm babysitting my nephew for days at a time because my brother's car broke down and he needs a sitter until school starts?!
:

Elm, I hope you find your trashcan!

Crazydiamond, congrats and good luck! I thought I had commented, but I don't see it on here.

Rach.

We drove around our neighborhood before heading to the grocery store and it was no where to be seen. Sucky.
One of ours ended up stolen and they brought us a new one. I think they said this replacement is free but if it gets stolen again we'd have to pay for a new one.
[We actually have two trashcans because when my sister visits, she fills one up all on her own! So we keep an extra around just in case she decides to visit. LOL]
