I'm growing Calendula and would like to know how to make stuff for my skin. I read it's good for the skin but don't know of any recipes for applications. Any ideas or experience with this?

Calendula?

I've made calendula salve-- steep dried flowers (can probably use fresh but they dry quickly) in olive oil and either heat gently or leave in a sunny place to warm. leave a couple of days... strain flowers then add grated beeswax to warmed oil.. I vary the amount of beeswax depending on the consitancy I want. I usually add some lavender essential oil when it's cooling. Sorry to be vague about amounts-- I usually just play it by ear. It's great for sunburn-- I mix it w. aloe vera gel for this . Also good for nappy rash and when your nostrils get raw from blowing your nose a lot during colds/flu.
