anyone feeling cntx all day? what does that mean?

I was induced in my previous pregnancies so I am not sure what all these cntx mean! I started having cntx since I lost a little bit of mucous plug last night. I woke up twice to go potty and my belly was contracting, woke up to have breakfast and more cntx, took a shower, left the house now I am back and still contracting. They are bearable and not so close together. I can't even time them because my tummy never stops contracting, like it is always tight never gets soft I called my mw and she told me to call her when they get stronger. Does this means that I am in prelabor? gosh, how long until they stop or I go into active labor? no matter what I do, the tightening never cease...

Sounds like prelabor/early labor to me. Could go on a few a hours or days though. Hang in there.

I agree. I had this happen with dd2 for a few days before I went into labor so when I finally went into labor....it was with a bang. Just keep an eye on it if they become regular and very strong.

Im on day two of the same thing. I am starting to think something is happening cuz now my lower back is killing me and i keep feeling like I have to sit on the toilet but nothing is happening. But they are still sporadic.

The exact same thing has been happening to me for about a week and a half now. Most of the contractions are not painful, but my belly is always tight and I always have a lot of pressure and low back/hip pain.

I'm 38 weeks today and I've had that for about three weeks now. I lost my mucous plug yesterday and since then things have slowed down a little bit.

Who knows how much longer??? One thing I do know - I'm ready! :

I've been having those since right at 37 weeks. I got them last time starting around then, too. Unfortunately for me it means I will probably be having a baby about 4 weeks from when they start.

I do know that prodromal labor is earlier and stronger in subsequent pregnancies, generally.
