Our baby boy arrived on July 27th at 2:58 am after a 3 or 4 hour labor and 2 involuntary pushes! He was 7pounds 7ounces and 21 inches
:
We're doing great and I'm feeling better with each passing day! We've been tandem nursing for 6 days and I think we've worked out a good system (at least it's working right now). The first day or so, I let my dd nurse whenever she wanted and she nursed a few times while her baby brother nursed (thank god for the football hold). She got kind of crazy and clingy and jelous though and was wanting to nurse constantly. We started letting her hold the baby some (to get to know and explore him) and I started telling her when her next nursing would be (when you wake up, before or after your nap, before bed). This seems to have eliminated her insecurity around nursing. She knows when she'll get the boobies next (and I can anticipate and have the baby well fed and sleeping so I can give her some undivided attention). Just wanted to share where we're at and hope other mamas nursing 2 will share!
