Who Latched on? World Breastfeeding week!!

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone else was part of the International Latch-On yesterday to promoto breastfeeding and set a new international record of the most women breastfeeding simultaneously worldwide?

We had a lovely little morning with 11 mummas and bubbas and can't wait to see the results for this year!!

Drat, I didn't hear of it. I can guarantee I breastfed DD yesterday morning, though.

Wish I could be nursing my LO, but she just won't, not after four weeks of a nursing strike, I gave in...for some reason this thread makes me really sad and I want to nurse again so badly. I guess 11 months is as good as it gets for me Happy Nursing Week though.

We did participate last year though :-)

I am sorry you are sad mama. YOu did such an awesome job nursing for as loing as you did. Please take comfort in the fact that you gave your child a wonderful start to life. 11 months is SO GOOD!!! You rock!

Ohhh I forgot to say but NZ broke their record from last year with 1111 nursing mamas!! YAY!

Ziggysmama: Thank you. I just LOVED to nurse and sometimes these threads just make me so sad. I am so jealous of you mamas (in a good way!) who can nurse. My dream was to nurse my girls until they were at least two. But, my oldest refused to nurse any longer after her sister was born, never figured that out. Anyway, happy breast feeding week to all!!! Woo hoo!
