grandma broke out the sharpie

We just got home from DH's grandmas house...she was showing us pictures from back when ds was only 4 months old. And what do I see???????? A freakin shirt drawn over my chest with a black marker.
I laughed and said, "what did I leave my boobs out?" She said, "oh oh yeah well you were nursing ds." I said," well I am not nursing him in this picture, i didn't realize i left my boobs out when i wasn't even nursing him."
She is senile and didn't even think it was a big deal. I was mad that she colored up a beautiful and natural thing (even though hardly anything was showing as it was, i was always very careful because she takes pictures like crazy, she even takes pictures of pictures and pictures of picture dvd's : )

I ended up telling her that i was upset about it and if she didn't feel comfortable with me nursing in her home, then we wouldn't come over. She said no, she just couldn't show the pictures to people the way they were and my shirt was black, so the marker blended right in. I told her not to take pictures then. :

immature remark now so i can feel better:
I have a bucket full of about 50 colors of sharpies...i bet there are enough to color over her face and match every shirt she owns ...

She's old though....maybe she thought you'd be upset if she showed her neighbor Bob or something?

Ya know?

Was it a cute shirt?

leaving boobs out

My dear friend greeted the UPS man with both boobs hanging out after breastfeeding.

Another friend, who is stunningly gorgeous, was in checkout line when her toddler helped herself to a snack. The man next to her just grinned.

I always made it a point to breastfeed in public if that was when baby was hungry. Here is SLO it isn't such a problem. When I had my first two in Miami it was. Even when I went to Williamsburg with my 4 month old 10 years ago people stared.

My favoritve lactovist was a pediatrician friend of mine. She wasn't trying to be a lactovist. Her 2 year old wanted to nurse and mom was in a bikini at the water slides in the toddler area. she just nursed her toddler. I LOVED it!

Was it your photo or her personal photo? I would be irritated if it was my photo but if it was hers - well she could have drawn much worse things.

She probably is just fine with NIP but not comfortable with a photo. Shrug.
