I have always enjoyed taking pictures and have had tons of compliments on my pics - sometimes people assume photos I have posted or hung on my wall are professional when in reality they were taken by me. I still have TONS to learn though, so much that it makes my head spin actually. I would like to become a professional photographer and need advice as to where to start learning (other than taking zillions of photos, which is a given 
). There are courses at my local university but I am wondering if perhaps there are online courses available that would be worth my time? Any must have books or websites worth reading?
My thinking is that if I spend the next few years learning that when my DS is older I will have developed a trade I can build a business around, I just need to know where to start!
