At the beginning of August, people around the world will celebrate World Breastfeeding Week 2008. This year, La Leche League of Memphis will be hosting a family picnic in Overton Park on Saturday, August 9 from 4-6pm. The event will be a celebration of those who breastfeed as well as an outreach to the community.
As part of the evening, we will be holding a fund-raiser raffle to support La Leche League of Memphis. The funds will help to buy informational pamphlets and educational books for our lending library, as well as help our leaders continue their education to better support breastfeeding women and their families.

Overton Park (off of Poplar, near the lake & playground)
Please bring the whole family & your own picnic - there will be fruits & vegetables to share.
There will also be a La Leche League fund-raiser raffle. You may purchase tickets at the picnic, or you may contact Jessica at 438-5462. You do not need to be present to win.
