Oh fun! I bought yarn for last year's but didn't get it even started. I'd like a link to it though. I have no idea if I'll have time or not but it would be fun to at least try.
Does this one work with charcoal colored yarn?

This year's stole is symmetrical (thankfully) and designed by Melanie's mom, Georgina. Any colour yarn will do BUT beads are mandatory. It will be my first big bead project, having only made a pair of socks with a few beads in the past.
I signed up earlier in the week, number 185. Now there are over 2000 members!
I'm going to use some HPY lace yarn, I can't remember the name of the colourway, one of the many I got when I was doing the coops. I haven't picked out beads yet, its intimidating since I know nothing about beads.

I've started swatching! The yarn is darker overall than I was expecting, which is good. I think I will go with bronze coloured beads, if I can find some bright enough. I'll take my swatch to a bead store when I get it done and post pics of everything.

No one else working on the Mystery Stole? There were so many of us last year.
I'm only ten rows in. I'm knitting both halves at the same time, so its slowing me down a bit, but not as much as those beads! Clue 3 came out today so I'm obviously WAY behind.
BTW, it is too late to join if that's what your thinking. Sorry.
