Are you guys sending lollipops to each other? If so, I want in!
Anyone Seen Chickenpox Around These parts lately?? - Page 12
A boy in my daughters class broke out on Saturday. He was in school on Friday and hence was highly contagious. My son was in class that day too and held hands with this boy and was in close proxmity. So, I will check back in 2 weeks and give an update. I would be happy to have a pox party. I live in South Burlington.
There's been a breakout on the Blue Hill peninsula, but even though dd was exposed 3 times, she hasn't gotten it. I don't think anyone has it right now, but there are a few kids who might be brewing it. I thought we would try again when something else popped up, but now we all have the flu, and I don't want to put dd through another illness so soon after that or expose her to another virus while she's still healing from this one. So now that everyone around here has had it, I don't know how she'll get it!
So, just changed ds's diaper, noticed several spots on his thigh. He has had some on his face as of last Thursday. He has been cranky, his head has felt warm like a low grade fever. I know this isn't really it, but thought I would share the info. Only one looked a like it had a little fluid. Friday will be 2 weeks. It seems like he is incubating or at least I hope he is.
ARGH! I wish I was closer(for more than just the pox though <3 <3 <3)
We are going to Burlington at the end of Feb for my bday and Mardi Gras, so if anyone in VT ends up getting it and exhibits from this exposure, PLEASE let me know and we will stop by for a pox party, I will supply organic lollys and "pox party" favors ;)
We seem to have a good case sprouting over here! It's probably best to get exposed within the next few days, so if you're interested just send me a pm with your contact info and I'll be in touch. Looks like we'll have to work around this snowstorm somehow too. We are in Orwell VT.
