Chickenpox in Gardiner, Maine, but we don't know who has it .... notice that it is going around at a school in Gardiner.

I'll give a call on Monday to Sarah Ackerly at Northern Sun in Topsham. She has an active chickenpox list. If I can get my kids exposed, I'll be sure to pass along the love and pox to anyone willing to travel around the Augusta area. I'll post here if I find out anything from my friends from Gardiner as well. Wish us luck!!!

We're in Castine, but we have family in Augusta/Waterville and I'm willing to travel!  I'm dying to get my two little ones exposed before #3 comes along in May!

My son goes to laura e richards in gardiner. He can not attend because there is an outbreak.  He has possible pox currently. We will wait it out.

BennyPai I found each and every one of the gardiner families who had it. Yep. I found them all a day or so too late! BLAH! Anyway My son has possible chicken pox. He has a few on his face and three new ones on his tummy. We shall see. We go to a family doctor and he will not confirm but may send us to a pedi tomorow or later this week.

While we were told we had a case we don't think so. Everyone ended up with it, but it was such a light case for all. I found it strange. Anyway, we now have a "confirmed case" so no need to be booted out of school next time. Here is hoping next time we will just get exposed:)

Sorry for the confusion. My son had a confirmed case a few weeks ago. We don't think it was chicken pox, but now his shot record says that he had a confirmed case. My point was next time there is an outbreak he will be able to attend school and continue to be exposed instead of being kicked out for two weeks. I think it is unlikely that all of our children had a VERY mild case. I think they just had something else and our son was given the wrong diagnoisis. So, I think we never had it.

We are also standing by ... We would be happy to have exposure anywhere in Maine.  We live downeast, but have family and friends in the Augusta area, so we're happy to travel.
