I almost went to Randolph, MA for pox today but would much rather head to Brunswick. All fingers and toes are crossed!

I think we were at the same party (in Topsham??). : I have an idea that one of our kids is in the beginning stages (weird rash on back & chest but not really raised or 'angry-looking' yet). He's had a high fever since Friday.

I hope this is it!

Hi Linda - funny meeting you here....... wink wink...

Just to keep everyone in the loop -- my oldest daughter woke up with a giant blister on her chin.... and nothing else. My husband is taking her to the doctor today to see what's up -- but I really doubt it's the pox. My son who I thought might be in the beginning stages of CP really looks like he has a bad rash -- maybe from his super high fever this weekend. HOW FRUSTRATING! I buzzed him in before school started just to talk to the school nurse (I didn't want to leave him there if it was pox) and she agreed that it looked more rashy and less pox-y.

We still have time to get it. So I will keep you all posted so you aren't wondering!

My duaghter never ended up getting it. I think it is the breastfeeding. Will have to try and expose my 5 year old instead at next opportunity.

Day 14 here.

Yesterday DS1 got runny nose. Today DS1 nose stuffy/runny. DS2 has one red spot on his wrist, but tough to say if pox or just bug bite.

I will keep checking both of them.

Linda, same thing here. My oldest daughter got a nasty giant blister on her chin that the doctor said was the pox, but it was one and quickly crusted over. So she's not contagious anymore.

Another daughter has had lots of spots that have come and gone -- but no more than five at a time and the same doctor said they were not pox. Basically, we need to see some blistering and crusting.

Sorry ladies - I thought this was it. We've had *everything* else during our CDC-imposed quarantine -- ear infections, strep, conjunctivitis, and a UTI. I guess we still have more time. The bad news is that since one of my girls got it and they all go to the same daycare/preschool, the two who DIDN'T are quarantined for SIXTEEN MORE DAYS because they were exposed again.

But anyway... I will come back if I see anything.... and I could always see something again in a few weeks.

Day 15, DS1 just seems like he has a cold. DS2 has sneezy little nose.

No spots.... maybe next time!

Hopefully we might still see something..... I'm not encouraged by the fact that Dr. S. said that her dd had been exposed EIGHT times before contracing CP this last time.

Any word? Although I am still hesitant to expose in the summer..I am thinking that the heat might make it worse...and little man is only going to be one in August, so I am still on the fence about when to expose him....

still nothing..... day 14 of my other kids' exposure to my dd's case (or the day she showed spots).
