Was it the spicy cheese sauce? The dancing in my livingroom? DTD?

Or was it all just coincidental that I finally went into labour after all the prodromal crap, the day after he was due?
Regardless, our first son Luke Steve came roaring into the world with a crack of thunder and a power flicker announcing his arrival! LOL How's that for dramatic entrance?
I don't really want to recount the whole birth story - it was not glorious or empowering. It was 12 hours of a lot of vomit and pain and he was facing sideways, and then with progression slowed because of his presentation, they broke my water so it was excrutiatingly painful after that. I was stuck at 7cm...they made me get up and go to the shower and just the act of walking to the shower made me dilate to 10 instantly at which time my DH didn't believe me when I said I had to push just cause he couldn't see a head! LOL When I made it known that I was serious, there was so much commotion since the doc wasn't there yet and I couldn't stop pushing so little Luke came flying into the world with a little purple bruised face because of how quick it was!
No tearing or cone head though - surprisingly enough -he was by far my biggest baby - 8lbs 10 oz. It was 6:55 p.m.
Anyway, here is the link to some pics.

We are still a little worse for wear (I bled out and almost needed transfusion) and he lost a lot of weight as my milk is just coming in...so we are glad to be home but need to rest up!
Hugs to those mamas still pg! Hang in there - once it happens it's too late to change your mind apparently! LOL
