My new answering machine message

I'm just resting up for the long work ahead,
No calls, no visitors is what the midwife said
As soon as he's here, we will let you know
And then you can come and tell him hello!

That should cut down on the "is he here yet??" calls...lol

Anyone else have something like this? I am just so tired of fielding 45 calls a day from people who are "checking up" on me...ARGH! I will LET YOU KNOW when he arrives!!! LOL

If I had the guts to put that on my answering machine, I'd do it. Kudos to you for doing it. We don't even have an answering machine but I only get one call a day...from my MIL who lives down the street. I can handle her.

I must admit, I am guilty of calling my friend daily that was past her EDD, but mostly it was to offer babysitting for her 4 yr old.

Jumping in from July to say we changed our message last week and it has been heaven. People get the info they want by telling them no baby yet...and only those really concerned leave us a message. I changed it to this:

Hi, you've reached... No, we have not had the baby yet. We appreciate your call to show your support. Please leave a message so that we will know you tried to reach us.

Notice I said nothing about calling them back

Kirsten~I wouldn't mind if they were calling to offer anything productive...rather than just harassing me about when I am going to be "induced" since I must HAVE to have this baby out now....ARGH!
