3 thread or 4 thread serging?

do you use 3 or 4 threads (1 or 2 needles) when you serge diapers? I'm curious if anyone just does 3. I'm having a terrible problem with one of my needles' thread constantly breaking, then the upper looper comes unthreaded, aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!

also, any tips for serging curves? I just have a basic 3 or 4 thread serger--nothing fancy.

I use 3 threads and one needle for diapers. For curves - it's what ever works best for you and your particular serger. Some machines & users do better with going quickly around curves and some get better results with going more slowly. I suggest practicing with some scraps before diving in with your actual diaper curves.
