Wow! You guys are amazing! I haven't had time yet to check out all the links, but this is great! I'm going to have to look for the books too. All of your points are excellent - I might just have dh read this whole thread. And I love the idea of having him "prove" to me that ps kids turn out "normal."

The poor guy is SO much more mainstream than I am, he's had to deal with this sort of adjustment with everything (natural birth, extended BFing, GD, healthy/organic foods, etc., etc., etc.). It's not that he's a bad guy (although reading my OP, he kind of sounds like a jerk!), it's just that all this is so foreign to him and he worries about his kids.

Thank you all so much. I really want us to have a thoughtful intelligent discussion on this and hopefully come to agree on what we should do. I think all this great info will help. Thank you, thank you!!!

I would also recommend this book. David Guterson presents the facts of homeschooling and public schooling in a clear voice. Of all of the homeschooling books in our personal library, this one is my dh's favorite.
