I have a half-dozen adorable Mudpies that a friend gave me after her dd stopped needing diapers. The outsides are in good condition, and the elastic is still pretty good, but the insides are pretty sad--full of holes, sewn-in doublers are pretty much shredded.
So, I was thinking about removing the sewn-in doublers and adding ?? to the inside to fix them. I just don't know what the ?? should be, LOL!
I don't need a lot of absorbency because we EC, so I was thinking just make a layer of microfleece or something, then if I want more than minimal absorbency, I can just use a lay-in doubler.
I don't have access to a serger....is this a problem? I don't really want to get too involved...replacing elastic, etc. It wouldn't hurt them to have new elastic, but the old will be good for a bit longer.
ANYWAY, I would LOVE some tips/advice/mentoring on this...please help!
