More nausea- yea! But not feeling terrible- double yea!

I'm trying to decide if I want to push for a "viability" ultrasound to check for a heartbeat. I've never had an early miscarriage, so I really don't have any good reason for it... but I'm just so afraid of a "missed" miscarriage or blighted ovum & not knowing about it for weeks or months. Sigh. Are any of you guys not getting an u/s b/w 6-9 weeks (eg am I the only one )?

I don't mean to sound like a smarty-pants, but just want to make sure you know that you can't hear hb on doppler until 9-12 weeks. I don't want you to worry before then

I'm not planning on getting an early u/s either. I can hold out until 9 weeks for doppler. (or so I think now anyway! ).

Oh, I know. part of me thinks i have my dates wrong, as I feel *way* more symptoms now than I did at this point with DS. I'm sure part of that is from having recently been pregnant, though. But the doppler was a huge help last time, since I bled off and on through the entire pregnancy (lots, not just spotting).

I am getting an u/s next tuesday, but mostly because I may need a cerclage, so they need to make sure my dates are right.

does anyone else look for/expect blood every time you go to the bathroom? I just wish I could stop worrying!

I had a missed m/c, and, at least in my case, I had some notion - even though no outward evidence like bleeding. First, I had no symptoms. I'd had tender breasts and that went away. Second (or, maybe not in that order), I had a single cramp. It was not pulling, dull stabbing, stretching or anything else you'd ordinarily associate with pregnancy or PMS. It was a twisting like cramp - I guess like the placenta tearing away from the wall a bit. And I did have the faintest single drop of blood. Not bright red. Really barely there. I had to do a double take when I wiped or I would have missed it. That faint. All that to say, that if you're body aware, I think you would likely have some sense if something was wrong. And since you obviously are nauseas, I'd take that as comfort that all is well!

I don't every time. But I do often. One time I saw a little tiny bit (like a speck) and started getting scared before I realized it was just from an extra (sorry TMI). hard BM.

Yes! Everytime! It's especially bad since I have so much creamy CM- I swear sometimes I feel like it's blood. Arg! I can't wait until the second trimester- can't we just fast forward until then?!

i look everytime...and i freaked out last night when i saw something and then realized it was just what was left from the outer layer of my 100mg prometrium... i got really nervous for a few seconds though and then of course kept obsessively checking for an hour after that!

Yep. Especially after my last pregnancy. I also have some extra blood vessels on the outside of my cervix, so I get a tiny amount of pink blood every time I strain (like with a BM). I'd forgotten it happened last time until my husband pointed it out this morning.

Thank you for starting this thread! It is a great idea, you're absolutely right about not wanting to scare other mamas but still needing to connect. I took my first blood test this morning and have another scheduled for Friday. Of course I am hoping that the numbers are doubling as they should. I'll take any reassurances I can. We won't be making an announcement until we have a due date, maybe not until the second trimester.

It is much different that my first pregnancy, even than my second until I miscarried- we always told everyone as soon as we knew, wanting to share the excitement. I am feeling more cautious now and really unsure of myself and my body.

I don't think all is well....
I took another test this morning. My symptoms have been minimal and my boobs have still not grown a bit so I just needed some reassurance from a nice dark pink line. Instead I got a barely visible faint trace. Much lighter than a few days ago.
I suppose there is some minute possibility that I took the test at a bad time (I had already peed when I first woke up and barely produced anything for the stick other than some water I had just drank). But I think that's just wishful thinking. I'm going to take another test tonight just to be sure, but I've pretty much resigned myself to what I'm going to see.
:
Better early than late though. Last time I didn't find out until 10 weeks and it was crushing. This time my excitement was a little more cautious, I never really had symptoms, and I haven't even reached 5 weeks yet, so it will be easier to handle. I'm still feeling very depressed though. I thought last time was a fluke. I thought this one was going to stick!

Yes, compulsively. Like every hour at least. It's rather silly too b/c I've never even bled before like 10 wks.

Ten more days until my u/s. I'm so freaking scared. The last 3 u/s's I've had have all been a baby that died 2-3 wks prior. I don't even know what I'm going to do if I lose another one. Just trying NOT to think about it right now. This is some stressful stuff.

well, I am bleeding. Started as light pink spotting when I had a BM, now it's light to bright pink every time I wipe. I had to go to urgent care earlier because I'm having heart rate issues (I live at a very high altitude, which is what they decided the problem was), and they said there was no need to do a pelvic or u/s, since I see my OB on Tuesday and 'some spotting is normal'. Well, on the way home, I started having mild back pain and had some almost-bright red blood on the toilet paper. I took another HPT and it was darker than last week (6w1d today). So I just don't know. I'm not having *major* cramping or anything, but who knows? The pink spotting hasn't gotten worse- it actually seems a little lighter. This happened at 6 weeks with my DS (before we knew he had a twin). So I just don't know what to think- my biggest fear is a miscarriage that doesn't go well and requires a D&C, as my DH is leaving town tomorrow for a month, and we have no friends or family around here.

Ugh. this is teh suck. And I was so sorry to read about all the losses in our DDC today.
