Okay ladies, bear with me on this one, I know it sounds !

Is there anything crafty that can be done with dryer lint? I get so much of it out of the lint trap and it's soft and fluffy...just seems ike it could be used to stuff something.

Am I just wacky here? :LOL

You can make great fire starters with paper egg cartons and a little wax!

Don't use it to stuff anything (toys etc.).. it's way too flammable.
People's houses catch on fire if their lint traps aren't cleaned out properly.

That's good to know, Paulineee. I'm terrified of fire, so I clean out my lint trap obsessively.

However, I never made the connection to fire and stuffing.

paper....

use it and some junk mail/newspaper and an old blender (get one at a yard sale or somewhere it willt rash your good one) and mix it up wiith some water and then with some screening in a frame mix it and scoop some out ((I am sure tht there are directions tht are way better on the web somewhere) then either lay it out flat to dry or use a cookie mold or somthing to "mold it". I made some beautiful Xmas cards one year with cookie molds and water colors.

Good luck.......

First off, I better introduce myself. I am new to mdc (well came out of lurk mode) and new to the board. Hi...I am Jennifer. Anyways, I wanted to say thank you for posting this. I have always wandered what to do with all of that lint! It always felt like such a waste throwing it out. Last night I was inspired to clean out my dryer after reading about it making good firestarters! Yikes! At any rate, I have a box ready to save that dryer lint. First project will be using it as modeling clay. Will send pics when done. Off I go, two toddlers full of energy and need to get ready for Halloween party!

I'd love to see pictures of your lint creations!

This isn't a craft idea, but you can put your lint on the compost rather than throw it away and at least it helps your soil.
