What an awesome idea, so much cheaper that renting one and then the kids will have a pool this spring/summer. how do we keep it warm, that is my only concern, during hb#1 i got into a tub which was freezing and do not want to try that again!!! i am really into this ideaand would love suggestions on the warm water issue. thanks and peace-------

We just filled ours up with hot water, and it stayed hot. I had a 6 hour labor from start to finish though. A friend of mine had a 24 hr. labor, and she had her fishy pool covered up with a tarp with a quilt on top. Stayed nice and roasty toasty!

I can't believe I'm about to go shopping for another birth pool! I might look into that Sevylor one on Pam's link (my dad can get them at cost)---it looks nice. Looking back, I wonder if the fishy pool's depth 22'' wasn't just a bit too short for me--I'm 5'8. Hmmm.

All the best!

Well, I got my pool last week. Yeah! We bought the 25" deep one from Quality Inflatables. I am wondering, though, do we have to clean it out before we use it? I've read on some sites to clean it with soap and water and then a mild solution of 10% bleach. So how does this work? Do we blow up the pool outside and do this and uninflate it and bring it back inside? If I hang it over the deck to dry that'll just dirty it up again. I'm a little confused. I feel like I should wash it, but don't know how to go about it.

Thanks!
