One of our local lactivist doctors organized this gathering to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week during the Madison Farmer's Market. It was a well-attended event during a very busy time at the market. The local ABC news (channel 27) showed up and interviewed the organizer, Dr. Mallory. I was impressed with how eloquent she was (even while holding her baby) and that the "slant" of the news segment remained positive.

The only thing that bothered me was that they cut off all the heads of the nursing mamas. Why? I can't figure that out. To protect privacy? We were there to nurse in public and show that it's normal! Oh, well. Over all, quite a good experience. BTW, I'm the one with the aquamarine-colored "I Make Milk" T-shirt and the 3-year-old boy.
