knitted overalls/pants for 5 yo

I'm looking for a pattern that comes in big enough sizes to knit for a 45-50 lb 5yo. any recommendations?

I found this while searching--anyone know if it comes in big enough sizes?

I don't believe it does. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

I know that perfection pants are customizable to what ever size you need.

there's also the doodlepants pattern that you can customize.



ETA: I just remembered seeing this pattern from Bernat for pants

Are you making these just for fun or for over diapers? There's a book called Minnow Knits Too that I think has some overall patterns.

Just for clothing. No diaper underneath.

(He wants an entire knitted suit with gloves and a hood attached but I'm not ready for that! ;-) )

Ahh. Well then, if it was me, I think I'd find a sweater and a pants pattern in worsted or bulky yarn (for speed's sake) and talk about how he will get out of his special suit if he needs to go pee. If he still wants a suit - just knit the pants onto the bottom of the sweater adding an extra inch or two (or be careful on your measurements to be sure the outfit will go from shoulder to ankle).
My 6 yr. old freaks out if he has to wear pants with a button - he waits till the last minute to go pee and is then in a panic trying to get out of the pants.
There are lots of free patterns here.

I have some old vitage knitting books with snowsuit patterns for children. They are old enough that the copyright is expired and I can copy them for you. I'll look through them at naptime. PM me your e-mail addy so I can send you a file.

Picky Pants aren't customizable, as in there isn't a chart attached, but Sheepy pants are and my 5 yo fits in the ones I had for DS.
