buying fleece in stores?

so i have another question since im about to embark on making my newborn dipe stash for my soon-to-be new baby girl...
i want to make some pull up fleece covers and am wondering if i can just use fleece from joann's. is there a particular kind i need to look for or is it all the same? would that work or do i need to order the malden mills kind? i really want lots of different prints so thats why i was thinking of buying locally.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

I know from experience that Malden Mills is awesome! I've never tried any other kind so I can't say how well they work.

I've used Joanns fleece and thought it worked good. If the dipe gets too wet it will wick though. I really like the anti-pill, but it seems a bit thinner.
