checking your own cervix?

is there a way to explain what your looking for? Dh is trying to check since I can't reach, not sure how to explain it

here's how I did it for my dh..
'go in...
baby's head feels like your chin now keep going up on the front (belly side) until you feel something that feels like pursed lips and see if you can stick a finger or two inside without stretching...then get him to describe what he feels..it might be close to the front or behind the back of the head...

hmmm thats an interesting one... does he remember what it felt like before you were preggo? (I assume he's had his hand in there before) I asked my dh if he wanted to check and he gave me the strangest face and thought it was just weird and gross... so I still check myself although its very difficult as I contort my self in this strange hunched over position. lol

From feeling mine I can tell you that it used to feel small and hard like the tip of your nose and roughly the same size, now it pretty much feels like walls inside your vagina soft and mushy, he should notice though that it is in the shape of hmmm a doughnut? with a hole on the inside, thats your cervix. He can check the effacement by feeling the outside of the cervix and seeing how much is left (how thick it is) I read it should be 2 centimeters normally( I will double check that) and then in the doughnut hole part (thats just your cervix effacing not dilating as I've come to understand) he will have to see if it feels open farther in (mine still feels closed as of last week) if it does feel open ask him to GENTLY try and see how many fingers he can get in each finger is 1cm although his fingers are probably much larger than yours so I dunno if you wanna consider each 1.5cm...
