My 2 year old lactivist

Thread Starter
My 2 year old daughter and I were in Ireland for the last month visiting my parents. We flew back yesterday. While we were waiting in the airport yesterday morning, I bought my daughter a little doll to keep her occupied. She decided that the little girl needed to nurse so she threw up her shirt and walked around nursing for almost an hour. Breastfeeding is unfortunately not terribly common in Ireland and NIP even less so but several people came up to me to say what a great mommy she was. It was really nice.

Mine likes to nurse her babies and all her stuffed animals too. Or I'm suppose to.

Mine too! We call it chiche, she pulls up her shirt and gives her dollies "chiche".

I love it! My dd will 'nurse' her dolls on her belly, or even her leg.

LOL! What a sweetie! My DD2 loves nursing her dolls and stuffed animals (my DD1 did too, but she's not doing it so much anymore-- she's more into giving birth lately LOL) and she likes undressing Barbie Dolls so she can nurse their breasts

Hilarious! Yeah usually the babies get nursed through the belly around here!

Yeah for your lactivists!

I love when my kiddos talk about nursing. Yesterday, my daughter (almost 3) started walking around with this monkey and she had a dress on. So she pulled the whole dress up, "latched him on" and went on doing what she was doing. My almost 5 year old said in a very genuine way, "Are you breastfeeding?" My daughter replies very frankly, "he needs to nurse!" I cracked up, and then I think I teared up! I'm on my 3rd nursling and it feels good to know that my kids will think breastfeeding is the standard.
