Anyone else? DD is done with it and she wants to keep doing it, but it seems there are no more lessons

the website says they are working on more levels....but after 9/7 it cost about 50 bucks for a 6 month subscription

It stinks that they're going to charge that much but my 7 1/2 year iold is actually reading after going through al their levels.

I think if they are going to have more- the $50 is worth it!

$50 is a great price. i personally think it should not have a time limit (6 months) - but i do agree it's a good price. headsprout is $199

My kids LOVED Reading Eggs, but I really think that phonics vs sight reading is the way to go.

I bought Headsprout a few days ago and we are on Episode 10 already. We tried Click'nKids, but my kids just really did not like that one at all.

I like HeadSprout better

We bought the 80 episodes of headsprout and she did those for a long time then got bored (around 55 I think). Now that she's finished readingeggs, she's back interested in headsprout, so I guess that's good!

Thanks for the readingeggs.com heads up. My kids are loving it!

So my 7.8 year old like reading eggs. Would she like one of these other ones to continue on?

They are going to add 10 lessons a month a reading eggs starting at the end of the trial period. Should I give it a try?

Is there any advantage to using this over studydog or a Reader Rabbit kind of purchase?

chfriend, i think $50 is worth it personally. you can also buy headsprout for $99 (which is 1/2 off right now!) through this co-op: https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.or...fer&Itemid=624 but only IF enough people want to purchase it as a group (but you can say you'll only commit to buy it if it's 50% off).

we have headsprout, but my dd loves reading eggs right now - so we're doing that instead.

Hmm, so I guess my son is done with Readingeggs also. He was frustrated that it didn't let him go to the next level. It was a bit too easy for him but there was no choice for levels and we had to start from the beginning. I did the survey they sent today promising to send a free book but after completing the survey, it said the free books is only for Australian users. My son was upset that he can't get the book, oh well...
My son did enjoy the site.

Ooh..thanks for the heads up on this. I think you should post it in the MDC Co-Op area

My dd finished, too. Maybe I'll check out Headsprout, but she's doing fine. I hate to spend the money.
