Grace, yay wooden necklaces! If you have too many beads, you could always send some my way!

I made a little wool ball. I still need to work some stuff out to make it tighter. Not the whole thing felted all the way, but I have no clue how to fix it. I made it by taking some wool yarn, cutting it into short pieces, tying the middle to make a pom-pom. Then I washed it on hot inside a knee sock.

Today I am shopping thrift stores! I am looking for the usual stuff. Plus, I am looking for some cool t-shirts to make t-shirt pants. I saw the tutorial in the Christmas crafting thread.

Plus, one of my stores put out their winter sweaters! Last week I bought 6 wool sweaters in great colors. I am hoping there are more. I need some different colors, plus stock up on basics like beige. I am making a bunch of cherry pie slices this month. pic

I finished knitting a guitar!
It was a birthday gift for DS. It turned out fine. I ran out of time so I didn't get to add all the details that I wanted to add.

Is there an alternative way to felting sweaters?
We hand wash our clothes and line dry.
How the heck am I going to felt this pail of sweater.
I could go to the laundry mat but I'd rather not if there is another way.

DS has his own bed now: and slept in it all night last night in our room! I want to make him a wool blanket with felted sweater. My baby is getting older: He just turned 3 Friday.

I actually am so surprised he wants to sleep in his own bed! Hes been in the family bed since birth and I thought we would have a hard transitioning. I did have to get up twice for "milkys" in the middle of the night, but he doesn't nurse through the night every night. Im ok with it occasionally.

Beans~ Ahhh, your boy is getting big. We just bought bunk beds for the boys. Our bed is getting a bit crowded with all 6 of us in there!

You could felt the sweaters by hand a little easier if you use a washboard. Also, switching between hot & cold water helps to shock the fibers.

Tilia~ That's an awesome idea! My son wants some pumpkin bombs like green goblin has. I think I may get out my scraps of orange & green & make some!

Wow! I can't even imagine! At most we have 4 in our bed (which is a queen bed with a futon mattress folded in half, snugged against each other.) and I sometimes feel like thats pushing it!

DS is doing well. He has fallen asleep every night in his bed: He has woken up in our bed these last few days but im a ok with that Its nice to have more space when I fall asleep.

Hi all.

I just had to say Ethan is a DOLL!! But you knew that didn't you. Love the pictures. What a beautiful woman you are!!! That smile is fantastic. That birth tub is so cool looking. Way nicer than the blow-up one I used for my two.

Back to crafting subject. I am having a blast with the packages I am putting together. Andrea, close your eyes again if you want this to be a surprise.

Have any of you read "The Magician's Nephew" (the first book in the Narnia series) ? The uncle has magic rings. Green and yellow. The yellow one takes you to the "Wood Between the Worlds" Just touch the yellow ring and you are there. The wood's is full of small ponds. Each pond is a gateway to another world. But you first have to put on the green ring. Put on the green ring and jump into any of the ponds. It will take you to another world. When you want to "go home" you just touch the yellow ring and you will be back in the woods where you can jump into the 'home pond' (with green ring on) that will take you back home.

SO, I just finished reading this book to my children. I loved it and could not stop thinking about what a wonderful idea it was. Rings, ponds to different worlds, so cool. So my dress-ups package for Andrea's son is going to be based on this idea. I have a small satchel and inside is two rings (made with felt) one green and one yellow. I also made 4 ponds. Funny shaped blue cloths that can be tossed on the ground to look link ponds.

I will type out a little story/explanation that she can read to her ds so he will know what it is all for. And he will get a few simple costumes to help him blend in with whatever world he will wish to visit.

Now I hope she meant it when she said that he would like anything "even girly" Because one of the ponds happens to take you to a fairy world.

Candice, that sounds like so much fun! I want to play!

I'm up to date on all my projects, so I need to take a little time to sew some wool pants for the babe. We had a cool night last night (40 degrees yay!) so I'd better get on it.

Oh my Candi!!!!! You are so fabulous!!!! He is going to adore it!
The timing must be divine because we are currently listening to the Magicians Nephew! I received a Radio Theater CD set of the Chronicles from SIL and we LOVE it!
