Homemade Lipstick

Is it possible?

My MIL had a 'pre-cancer' spot on her lip that she just had removed. She assumes that it was caused by the sun, but I think it may have been caused by 45 years of wearing lipstick daily. She loves lipstick!

So I was looking at the Skin Deep website, and it says that MiEssence is pretty good (good = low toxin). But pricey! $24 for one. Then I noticed that the Skin Deep website listed the ingredients for the MiEssence lipstick:
Quote:
simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, cera alba (unrefined beeswax), vanilla planifolia (vanilla) extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf CO2 extract. May contain: +/- zinc oxide, iron oxides.
I have all those things! I have a good amount of powder from Everyday Minerals. Could I just mix something together for MIL? Any recommendations as to the amounts?

Thanks!

i don't have the exact amount for the chapsticks I made. But here are the ingredients:

Beeswax
Coconut oil
honey
shea butter

melt everything together and you are done. I usually do a test to see if it's too hard because of the beeswax. Coat the spoon and stick it in the freezer for a minute and see if you like the texture. I have plastic lipstick tubes that I pour mine into. I know people sell homemade chapstick on Etsy.

you could color it with powdered beet root for a nice red color, or maybe it would be closer to pink, but still.
