Anyone actually making money at it?

I just got my big starter package and the books are AWESOME. I LOVE children's books and literature, recently got my MLS with a concentration in Youth Services actually, but how does it translate? I am passionate about the books, but unsure about the selling. I can send my friends an invite to my first party, but feel sketchy about pushing it more than that. I was sorta hoping that they might think of me in the future when they needs kids gifts and then go to my website to order. I have booked a stall at an event (talk about jumping in both feet) and my supervisor is going to let me use a bunch of her stock for cash and carry, then I can replace it if it sells later.

Anyway, seeking tips or advice or stories of triumph, but from real folks. TIA!

Hi there! I've been a consultant since 2005. I keep having babies so as soon I get momentum going - I end up pregnant with hyperemesis and get totally stalled. I have made money with the business, but what is more important to me is that I get the books that we truly use a lot for a discount. When my kids get a bit older, I will don some working apparel and go schedule some preschool book fairs - but right now, I'm just trying to make some web sales. Good luck to you, I really believe Usborne has the best direct sales product.
