Do you use Watersweb? A few questions.

If you don't want to use their templates do you need to know html?

Is it really that simple to use? I have only used wysiwyg programs and very little html. Their templates are nice but I want something a little less plain. I am not sure if I will be able to jazz them up on my own with html. I am just not sure what to do kwim? It is all just a little overwhelming.

Any tips from current users would be great. Thanks

If you don't want to use the templates at all, you have a couple of options:

1. You can hire a designer to create a custom template
2. You can create your own template if you know HTML

If you don't mind using the templates as a basis for your own SKP design, you can tweak them to make them look more like what you want. But this requires at least some HTML knowledge.

To answer your question: You can edit the templates. The only stipulation is that you only use them on an SKP site.

You can edit the templates and change stuff out if you know some basic HTML. Or just hire a designer to create a custom one for you. There are design partners listed on the site that are familiar with the cart/software setup as well.

Even if you are 100% familiar with HTML, you can try to twick things a little here and there to see what it does. I have MS Frontpage where I can see what HTML coding creates what. My website is designed from a template. It looks completely different from the original template I used. I twicked a lot of things.

I have programming background.... so, HTML is really easy for me. So, I tend to think that it's easy for others as well..
