Let's talk about boobs for a minute

Because, hey, it's fun!

This is my first pregnancy, so I don't know how it's supposed to work, but seriously, my boobs have already gotten bigger. I know some folks really appreciate "nature's silicone," but I was already a D cup pre-pregnancy. I'm getting a little scared that by the time I have the baby, they will need their own zip code. It'll be like that kids' book about Strega Nona, where spaghetti takes over the world--except it will be my boobs instead of spaghetti. Someone please reassure me that they won't just keep on getting bigger and bigger!

I'm right there with you, bodhi... only I started with an I cup (yes, they do actually make such things). I'm afraid if they get much bigger I won't be able to find a bra (and Lord knows I'm not someone who can go without) and I'll have to hire someone to carry them for me .

So far, I can't tell if my cup size has changed yet, but my areolas look bigger and slightly darker already.

Oh no - they do totally take over the world. It's funny because my DD weaned just a few weeks before I got pregnant, so I think they actually did get a tiny bit smaller and I was SO HAPPY. Alas, they are huge again. Sigh.

Ahh...the joys of boobs! I was a C before my 1st DD...and then durring the preg a D, and then after she was born I was a DDD....totally not comfy! You bigger chested mamas, I don't know how you do it! After I weaned, I remained a D.
I haven't had any changes in them so far this time, but I immagine they'll get bigger soon. It was pretty early on the first time...
Oh the joys!

mine got huge my first pregnancy...second not so much and this one are more sore than anything, but dd still nurses so that might be a factor..and i'm normally a DD, so you can only imagine!

I was EPing for my son until 2 weeks before I got pregnant with this one. I had 2 weeks where my boobs didn't feel- alien. Now they are getting bigger again, and I was a DD cup pre-pregnancy. They never went down to pre-pregnancy size after DS, though. I am terrified they are going to grow up in front of my face and down past my crotch this time. :P

hang in there big busted mamas I can't predict what's going to happen for you, but I totally sympathize. I have a girlfriend who just had her babe & she jokes that her boobs lead her wherever she's going

(FWIW, I was a B before pg w/ dd, D during pg & once my engorgment went down, a D while nursing. It's been 4 months since she fully weaned & I'm down to a floppy B )

before ds, i wore a c cup. they grew all thru pg and during nursing made it up to DD. He nursed nearly 4 years, during which time they gradually decreased in size. 2 years after that, they are down to a very floppy A or B (just depends on the bra). Im amazed by this as I never even wore an A growing up; went from a trainer to a B about overnight. Now, I am now a good bit lighter than I was before ds. that's the good news. Nursing made my whole body shrink without me ever consciously trying to lose weight. Im a little concerned about my boobs this pg, as I have experienced no soreness yet. But I think this is because they went through extreme changes while I carried twins (started hurting like 3 dpo and grew and hurt for all 16 weeks then my milk came in and stayed for months). So Im thinking (hoping) that the only reason they arent hurting now is because they practiced so much last year and now dont need to make so many early changes. I am noticing lots more bumps (montgomery's tubercules) around the areolas lately and possibly they are fuller but not sore. I am concerned that this is a sign this pg is not good, but i feel tired and hungry and have gallons of pee (i never get sick when pg, lucky me), so like i said, I am hoping I am just lucky not to have the extreme breast tenderness with this pg.

Okay, I am jeaaloud of all you largee cheested mamas! I was an A cup pre-pregnancy with my DS, went to a C by early in the 2nd trimester and that iss where they stayed. They never got bigger with engorgement, and we recently had a nursing strike that turned into weaning and I am back down to an A cup (they were a B most of my time spent nursing).

before I had my ds I was a c cup and then went down to a B or sometimes an A.. then I had my dd and during pregnancy they got big again.. and just the other day I went into a staore that sold half size bras.. I was HALF of an A! When I was pregnant with dd I bought "the most comfortable bra ever" it was a Jockey TEEN bra... I still love that damn bra!

I'm a AA pre-pregnancy, but usually just wear an A that doesn't have underwire (hey, even barely-there boobies need some support) since AA's are a specialty size and therefore expensive. I figure I'll be an A by the end of next week with the rate mine are growing, will be nice to fill out a bra for once
Too bad they HURT and it's hard to find a thickly padded bra in my size that isn't a push-up (double OW). Gawd, I'm going to look silly if I make it to a B before my belly gets huge, like I'm going to fall flat on my face since I'm really skinny to start with.
With the discomfort I'm having on the smaller end of the spectrum, I really feel for you ladies on the other end

Well, I've filled out my "nearly B." This is my first pg, and most the time my nipples are killing me. I'm not sure how I've filled out the bra since I got on the scale the other day and I haven't gained any weight? Hopefully, the chub moved up from down below...I've got plenty there to go around I've always felt I looked somewhat like a bowling pin

I went from a B to DD with my last pregnancy, was a DDD early postpartum, then down to a DD by about six weeks. The following couple years were the slowly shrinking breasts- I'm still nursing but down to a B cup again, though not nearly as perky as before I confess that I still often wear a DD though, because that's the only size of nursing bra I own. I don't really need the support, just the nipple protection/coverage.

This is one thing I'm totally enjoying. I was a late bloomer and finally got some little B cups in like 10th grade so I absolutely love that my boobs have already grown so much. I bought a cheap bra in a C (it's super comfy and bigger around) and I already fill it out. Dh is loving it too, although he's only allowed to look, not touch hah.

Mine have gotten firmer and larger and a little tender when my Chihuahua stands on them... I haven't needed to look into new bras just yet, but I'm starting at a C cup. Anyone know if um, the 'unevenness' equals out as they grow? Before they started growing, one was a bit smaller than the other. Probably not noticeable to most people, but since I have a chance to look at them everyday, I see it. So far, the smaller one seems to be trying to catch up a little with the larger one. I just am hoping that I don't have one huge super boob and the other one two sizes smaller.

This is my second pregnancy. I have always been an ample B cup. After Ds and after I stopped nursing they went to a small, saggy B cup. Now they are a beeeutiful Full B cup. Can't believe how filled out and perky they look and I'm only 5 1/2 weeks along!!

That is the only change going on in my body right now. I'm not looking forward to the hard, engorged Football porn style look I'll get when my milk comes in after peanut is born.

I haven't had any boob growth yet... they're just sore. I'm a lil nervous, though- as I'm a 34DD right now- which it's hard enough to find in a bra size... if they get bigger...holy cats! Do they make pregnant mama bras with crazy sizes? Or am I going to have to have something specially made??

Why do you think I GOT pregnant again?!?! I need a little help from Mother Nature up top... and She's not disappointing! I've already gone up noticeably. I truly think it's my boobs that'll give my pregnancy away... well before the belly does!

since the topic is boobs i want to talk bras. i need to go get one soon; anyone have a recommendation for a brand that is really comfy with an underwire? I also wanted to mention, because I have never heard anyone say this, but I preferred regular bras while nursing. it was just always easier for me to pull out of the top of a regular bra than to mess with hooks.

I also used a regular bra when I nursed my son.
